UAE confirms to IMF help of $1 bln to Pakistan - finance minister

ISLAMABAD, April 14 (Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates has confirmed to the foreign economic Fund that it's going to provide aid of $1 billion to Pakistan, the South Asian nation's finance minister pointed out on Friday.

The commitment is among the necessities that the fund has said it needs to movement forward on a months-long delayed bailout package to shore up the nation's struggling economic climate.

"State financial institution of Pakistan is now engaged for considered necessary documentation for taking the mentioned deposit from UAE authorities," Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar talked about on Twitter.

The IMF's managing director Kristalina Georgieva said the previous day the fund was also in talks with friendly international locations of Pakistan to supply financial assurances so it might probably finished the programme.
